| ATPL
Theoretical Knowledge - Classroom |
|
The course is completed
over twenty seven weeks (21 weeks teaching, three weeks
study, and three weeks exams). These are divided into
three Modules of seven weeks each followed by JAR-FCL
examinations. The weeks comprise 40 lectures, each one
is 50 minutes in duration.
One rather large benefit
of Orlando Flight Training over our competitors is our
location. Students of OFT do not have to pay additional
funds out of their pocket for accommodation at the exam
center. As it is located just 40 minutes away by car,
students can save hundreds of dollars, that would otherwise
be required for hotels during the 4 day exam period. |

The course covers the full JAA ATPL theoretical knowledge syllabus. There are
regular start dates throughout the year with class size restricted to a maximum
of 24 students. The Instructors are experienced in teaching Modular programmes
and regularly achieve first time pass rates for this particular course which
exceed 80%. CCAT has produced a full set of training manuals and documentation
to support the lectures which are all included within the course fee. In order
to progress to the Flying Skill Tests it is a mandatory requirement that all
fourteen papers have been passed (pass mark 75% for each examination). Candidates
are allowed four attempts at each individual paper, over six separate sittings.
• All ATPL theoretical
examinations must be passed within 18
months of the
first
successful attempt.
• ATPL theory credits (Frozen ATPL) are only valid if an Instrument Rating
is endorsed on the
JAR CPL within 36 months from the anniversary of the final
examination pass.
COST
The cost of the entire course is
$5,990 which includes all materials
that you will require, excluding
flight computer, rulers, etc. The
exception to these costs the the
actual exam
fee
of £60 payable directly to the UK CAA 4 weeks before entering the exam
room.
Check out our accommodation page to see where you will be staying. Unless you
are fortunate enough to live within daily driving distance of a school, you
will always have to factor in accommodation. We have taken the worry of finding
secure lodgings away from you and yet are able to discount the prices to be
competitive.
