COURSE DURATION
Based on a full time course, the CAA IMC takes on average 7-10 days depending on the individuals experience and preparation for the course. Students may simultaneously complete the JAA Night qualification.

CAA IMC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
2. Hold at least a current Class 2 medical certificate.
3. Hold a full UK CAA/JAA Private Pilots Licence.
4. Have logged at least 10 hrs PIC after PPL is issued.
5. Pass a written examination with a score of at least 75%.
6. Pass a IMC skill test with a CAA examiner.

CAA IMC AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE
Total hours must include the following:
1. 25 hours of flight experience since date of application of Private Pilot License,
which is to include;
• 10 hrs pilot in command of aeroplanes.
• 5 hrs PIC of aeroplanes on cross country flights.
• 15 hours of dual instrument flight training including at least 10 hours
of sole reference to instrument.
