JAA: ATPL Distance Learning

Starting at $2,685

Our ATPL Distance Learning Course is designed to meet the theoretical knowledge requirements detailed by the Joint Aviation Requirements for the issue of an Air Transport Pilot’s Licenses (ATPL). The Distance Learning Course is structured in three phases with each phase containing three to six subjects. Each phase consists of 13 study periods, three weeks consolidation and revision, a one‐week residential course and one week for the JAR‐FCL examinations. The one‐week residential course and examinations are conducted in Florida.

Each of our modules requires a self‐study of 15 and 17 hours per week with a Self‐Assessed Test (SAT) at the end of each week as per the attached study schedule. It is strongly recommended you follow this schedule which will ensure an even pace of learning in this and other modules within the Phase.

Our distance learning ground school gives you all the same benefits as the residential class and follows the same
module structure as our residential class.

‐ Qualified and experienced instructors available through email
‐ A three module breakdown of the subjects to prevent the student from overloading on information
‐ Presentations accessible online
‐ Climate controlled classrooms

At the end of every third period, you are required to complete a Progress Test (PT), plus a Self‐Assessed Practice Paper (SAPP) on completion of all the study periods. All questions have multi‐choice answers and their format is very close to that used in the JAA exams. The PT will be marked and returned to you with an answer/debrief sheet if you have reached the pass mark of 75%. If this is not achieved, you will be required to repeat the PT.

Completion of all Study Periods, SATs, PTs, attendance and successful completion of the residential study week are essential JAR pre‐requisites for entry to the JAR‐FCL examinations.

Once this distance learning program is purchased, all ground school publications will be mailed to you within 14 business days.
